Finding a place to camp at busy times
If the urge to dust down the tent and get back to the bush is rising, you can be sure that plenty of others are feeling the same way. Especially if the weather is good.
If you want to stay at a campground where we don't offer booking, check our prototype notification system for the most up-to-date information we have on availability. It's here on Explore Parks and over on our Park Stay WA website (where you can also make bookings).
Alongside the name of each campground is a simple 'traffic light' indicator: Red means that a campground is full; amber or yellow: means it is filling fast; and green indicates that availability is good. (Don't worry if you have difficulty distinguishing between any of these colours - the different colour 'lights' are also different shapes.) Importantly, there is also a date and time, showing when the information was last updated.
We need your comments to help improve the system!
We hope you find the system useful and welcome your feedback. There are a number of ways you can do that. Sign up as an Explore Parks WA member and leave a review on this article, like Explore Parks WA on Facebook and comment there, or send us an email. Sorry, but we are unable to respond individually to all feedback or to individual requests for availability information.
