Fancy a family camping weekend that includes a Nyoongar Bush Barbeque Experience?

The Department of Parks and Wildlife, together with Koomal Dreaming, are offering a camping weekend that includes a Nyoongar Bush Barbeque Experience at the newly upgraded Martin’s Tank campground in Yalgorup National Park on the weekend 23 and 24 August 2014.

The weekend includes two night’s camping for a family of up to two adults and their children, a guided walk with a park ranger, evening nightlife spotting activity on Saturday night and entry to the barbecue presentation, all for only $30 per adult.

The presentation includes a demonstration of cooking with Nyoongar herbs and spices and tasting of emu and kangaroo, a didgeridoo performance and story-telling.

Bookings for the whole weekend are subject to the availability of campsites although entry to the barbecue presentation is available without camping for $20 per adult. Bookings do not include transport to or from the event, camping equipment or food other than samples.
