Yanchep National Park has re-opened following the recent bushfire.

The koalas, easily the cutest attraction at the park, are all happily munching on leaves and waiting for all the visitors to return.

The Yanchep Inn, Chocolate Drops Tearoom, Trees Adventure ropes course, the golf course and campground are open as normal. The Crystal Cave, Cultural Experience and the West Coast Heli Scene helicopter tours are taking bookings.

Three walk trails on the western edge of the park have been closed due to fire damage but there are still six beautiful walk trails in the park that are open.

Bring your camera and photograph the birds and the local western grey kangaroos and, pack a picnic and use the free barbecue and picnic tables beside the lake.

Yanchep National Park is only a 45 minute drive from Perth and is the perfect place to spend a day or longer if you want to stay overnight.
