If you hold a licence granted by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), this page provides information on relief initiatives that may be available to you.
Tourism operators that hold a current licence
If you did not complete the online form to choose a fee waiver option for your business prior to 30 June 2020, you have automatically been provided the option of a fee waiver when you next renew your licence.
What currently-licensed operators need to do
If you have selected or been provided a fee waiver when you next renew your licence, the fee waiver will be automatically applied when you submit your renewal application via the Commercial Operator Licensing System and you will not be charged the application fee ($117) and one year licence charge ($406). Information on how to access and use the online system is available here.
If your business has previously chosen to extend your current licence by 12 months at no cost, you will need to submit an application to amend your current licence via the online Commercial Operations Licensing System. Instructions on how to apply for the extension are available here: How to apply for a 12 month extension.
Tourism operators applying for a new licence
New commercial operators that apply for a commercial operations licence before the 31 March 2021 are entitled to a 12 month waiver of licence fees.
