Skinny Dip Bay Walk

Explore the northern side of Woody Island on a peaceful walk to Skinny Dip Bay. This 1.5km return, moderately difficualt walk will take you to a small, rocky but sheltered bay.  The trail starts in the playground and leads over the hill past the telephone tower.  Look out for the kangaroos.

Woody Island is an ‘A’ Class Reserve and one of more than 100 islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago, a chain of islands stretching 230km from Esperance to the Great Australian Bight.  The island is named for its stands of tall trees, a rare sight in this archipelago.
