About this place
The Homestead area features a restored family kitchen, irrigated lawns, shady picnic and barbecue areas and toilets.
In the Homestead you can find out about the history of the Millstream Station, first established in the 1800's.
The Homestead is open daily between 8am and 4pm. It is not always staffed but rangers frequently visit as they are stationed here. Follow the signs to the ranger's office as online bookings can be made on the verandah.
Follow the Wetland Walk to learn about the areas natural and cultural history.

Alternatively, take the longer Warrungunha Trail - from the wetlands, through the paperbark forest and over the spinifex grasslands to Cliff Lookout and return.

Safety information
Plan when to visit. Consider travelling with a personal location beacon (PLB). In the event you need to be rescued it could save your life!
