The Quarry picnic area is located at the site of the 1930’s and 50’s construction camps where unique engineered concrete and stone picnic shelters and lookout are now recognised for their heritage values while the former dam caretakers house is now a cafe.
Painted by artist Guido Van Helten, the dam wall mural is believed to be the world's largest. The artwork is called 'Reflections' and is inspired by local stories and photos.
