Open grassed parkland areas with parking facilities, playground equipment, park benches, and two gazebos, make Glendalough Open Space Area excellent for picnicking.

Glendalough is part of the Herdsman Lake Regional Park and is located adjacent to Powis Lake on the eastern side of Jon Sanders Drive. Several water bodies are present in the centre of the area, with a walking trail network linking the points of interest.
