A pretty and peaceful picnic site set in wandoo woodland.

The grand peaks of the Stirling Range are the first feature to capture visitor’s attention and imagination, but there is also a diverse mix of shady woodlands to explore and enjoy on the lower slopes and valleys in the park. The woodland at White Gum Flat shelters a wonderland of wildflowers that include delicate orchids, honey bush (Hakea lissocarpha), morning iris (Orthrosanthus laxus) and Veronica’s wattle (Acacia veronica). The woodlands are also home to a marvellous array of birdlife, from glorious golden whistlers to petite red-winged fairy wrens.

Visitors can stop at White Gum Flat picnic area, located off Stirling Range Drive.
