Trails

In addition to the campgrounds listed below, there is also a non-DBCA campground at Hamersley Inlet within the national park, run by the Shire of Ravensthorpe.

Point Ann Heritage Trail

Bush Walk
1.5 kilometres

This is a short and easy walk which follows part of the original rabbit proof fence. It offers superb views over Point Charles Bay and is an excellent whale watching route in season.

Sepulcralis Hill

A moderately easy short walk to a lookout, 175 metres above sea level, in the East Fitzgerald National Park.  The lookout offers views to the many peaks of the park.

West Mount Barren

1.7 kilometres

Enjoy sensational views of the Fitzgerald River National Park and the Fitzgerald coast from West Mount Barren. This is a 1.7km return bushwalk and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

East Mount Barren

The trail up East Mt Barren is a short but moderately difficult walk offering impressive views from the summit over Culham Inlet, the Eyre Range, Hamersley Inlet and the peaks of mid Mt Barren and Thumb Peak. Offering flowers throughout the year.

Hakea Walk Trail

The Hakea Trail is a 23 kilometre spectacular and rugged coastal walk trail in the East Fitzgerald National Park.  It starts at the Cave Point car park and extends westward to Quoin Head.  However, the trail can be accessed at several points along its route. The trail has markers bearing the Royal Hakea.

Mamang Trail

31 kilometres

This is an outstanding 15.5 kilometre (31 kilometre return) walk along part of the spectacular Fitzgerald River National Park coastline from Point Ann to Point Charles and on to the Fitzgerald River mouth. Along with the coastal views are views to the inland peaks and lakes of the central wilderness area. It is marked with posts bearing the Royal Hakea symbol.

Mount Maxwell

An easy walk in the West Fitzgerald National Park, to a lookout platform, 184 metres above sea level.

No Tree Hill

6 kilometres

This a moderately easy 6km walk through heathland to a hill 262 metres above sea level,  offering views to Culham Inlet and the Eyre Range. Black gloved wallabies may be spotted and the wildflowers change throughout the year.

Hamersley Inlet Trail

1.7 kilometres

The Hamersley Inlet Trail is a 1.7km walk trail within Fitzgerald River National Park. It follows the bank of the inlet until you reach Hamersley where it intersects with the Hakea Walk Trail.
