Tabs GroupWelcome Previous Pause Next Along the Kalbarri coast, wind and wave erosion have exposed the layered sandstone in cliffs that rise more than 100m above the ocean. Mushroom Rock is an interesting viewpoint from which to see close-up how the natural forces of wind and water have created weird yet delicate formations in the Tumblagooda Sandstone. Mushroom Rock Nature Trail The walk trail links Mushroom Rock with the Rainbow Valley carpark through the valley and along clifftops above the ocean. The walk can be completed as a complete loop or out and back along either the coastal path or through the more sheltered valley. Keep to the trail and beware of loose or wet rocks and very steep sections. Be especially careful in strong winds on exposed rocky sections. Trailside signs interpret botanical and geological features along the way.
