Natural Bridge - Castle Cove

Welcome
Previous Pause Next

Picnic in stunning natural surroundings and look for a wide variety of marine life, including whales and dolphins, from two universally accessible cliff-top lookouts.

As the coastline slowly yields to the force of the Indian Ocean, the fracturing and decaying of the cliffs has sculped these precarious rock formations.  The Natural Bridge lookout is only a short walk from the carpark, where you can enjoy the stunning coastal views from the safety of the lookout enclosure.

A wheelchair accessible picnic shelter and toilets are available here.

Bigurda Trail

The eight-kilometre Bigurda Trail hugs the coastline between Eagle Gorge and Natural Bridge, providing stunning coastal views. You can walk all or part of this trail as it passes other popular lookout spots at Shellhouse & Grandstand Rock Gorge and Island Rock. Arrange to be dropped off at Eagle Gorge and traverse south along the coastal cliffs for 3 to 5 hours, finishing at the southern trailhead at Natural Bridge.  Please take care as parts of these trails are rocky and sandy with loose and uneven surfaces.

Distance: 8 km one way  Time: 3 to 5 hrs  Class: 3

For more information visit TrailsWA.

Bigurda Boardwalk

This is a shorter 1.2 km (return) walk between the Natural Bridge and Island Rock.
